Substantive issue:
Risk of torture upon deportation to Italy under
the Dublin III Regulation
At its meeting on 26 July 2019, the Committee, having received the State party’s
request for discontinuance, noted that the complainant’s asylum proceedings had been
reopened by a decision dated 6 November 2018, which involved a merits assessment of his
asylum request. At the same meeting, the Committee, in the light of the statutory stay of
removal in force for the duration of the proceedings, decided to discontinue the
examination of communication No. 700/2015.
