V.K. is the mother of the other two authors. They submit the communication on their own behalf and on behalf of their families. The authors claim that the State party has violated their rights under articles 2, 7, 17, 23, 26 and 27 of the Covenant. The Optional Protocol entered into force for the State party on 4 October 2007.
