Description
The Hungarian Helsinki Committee ("HHC") is a human rights NGO established in 1989 that aims to protect human dignity through legal and public activities. The HHC provides help to refugees, detainees and victims of law enforcement violence and discrimination. In addition to offering free legal representation through their Human Rights Legal Counselling Program, the HHC also engages in research and professional training activities. Their main focus areas are the protection of the rule of law, protection of the rights of refugees, monitoring law enforcement activities and the protection of the rights of detainees. The HHC is working in close cooperation with the UNHCR.
