On 30 December 2020, the Committee, having been informed that the State party’s
judicial authorities had decided that the preconditions for the extradition of the complainant
had not been fulfilled, that the complainant had been released from detention and that he had
returned to Bulgaria where he resided, and following the withdrawal of the complaint on
those grounds, decided to discontinue the examination of communication No. 936/2019.
