The author of the communication is M.J.K, an Afghan national born on 21 March
1986. He claims that his deportation to Afghanistan by Denmark would constitute a
violation of articles 6, 7, 14, 18 and 26 of the Covenant. He is represented by counsel,
Niels-Erik Hansen.
1.2
On 29 January 2014, pursuant to rule 92 of its rules of procedure, the Committee,
acting through its Special Rapporteur on new communications and interim measures,
requested the State party to refrain from deporting the author to Afghanistan while his case
was under consideration by the Committee.
