At its meeting on 15 November 2019, the Committee, having ascertained that on 2
January 2019, the complainant had applied for a renewal of asylum proceedings and a
residence permit to stay in Sweden, and that the expulsion order against him in Sweden had
become time-barred, decided to discontinue the examination of communication No.
897/2018, on the understanding that the complainant would be entitled to submit a new
communication to it in the event of a renewed risk of forcible removal from the State
party’s territory.
