The author of the communication is Ms. Z, a national of the United Republic of
Tanzania, born in 1983. She claims to be a victim of violations by the State party of articles
5, 6, 8, 10, 14, 15 (1), 16 and 17 of the Convention. The United Republic of Tanzania
ratified the Optional Protocol on 10 November 2009. The author is represented by counsel. 1
