At its meeting on 26 July 2019, the Committee, having been informed by counsel
that the Supreme Administrative Court of Finland has decided to remit the case to the
Finnish Immigration Service for fresh consideration and that counsel has asked specifically
for discontinuance of the case, decided to discontinue the consideration of communication
No. 844/2017 on the understanding that the complainant would be entitled to submit a new
communication to the Committee in the event of a renewed risk of forcible removal from
the State party’s territory.
