The author of the communication, dated 18 June 2013, is Abdelkader Boudjema, a
national of Algeria. He is represented by the Alkarama Foundation. He claims that his
father, Mahmoud Boudjema, born on 1 April 1946 and also an Algerian national, was the
victim of enforced disappearance attributable to the State party, in violation of articles 6 (1),
7, 9 (1–4), 10 (1), 16, 17, 23 (1) and 2 (3) of the Covenant. The author claims that he
himself has been a victim of violations of articles 7, 17, 23 (1) and 2 (3). The Covenant and
