At the end of the text, insert the following new paragraphs reading
The Government further stressed that “The European Committee for the Prevention of Torture
(CPT) is the competent and independent body of the Council of Europe which monitors the
implementation of the provisions of the “European Convention for the Prevention of Torture or
Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment”.
