Substantive issue:
Extradition to Turkey of an alleged supporter of
the Hizmet/Gülen movement
On 30 December 2020, the Committee, having been informed that the complainants
had left Georgia and travelled to Sweden, where they had been granted permanent residence
on 24 May 2018, decided to discontinue the examination of communication No. 861/2018,
on the understanding that M.E.Ç. no longer faced a risk of extradition to Turkey, as he had
left the territory of Georgia.
