Substantive issue:
Risk of torture upon deportation to Nigeria
At its meeting on 26 July 2019, the Committee, having been informed that the
removal order against the complainants had become statute-barred on 16 February 2019
and that the complainants had filed a new asylum application in Sweden on 10 April 2019,
decided to discontinue the examination of communication No. 906/2018. The decision of
the Committee was taken on the understanding that the complainants would be entitled to
submit a new communication to the Committee in the event of a renewed risk of forcible
removal from the State party’s territory.
